About the Plagiarism Checker (Basic)
Our plagiarism checker finds repeated or duplicate sentences inside your own text and compares two texts for similarity. It is a handy self-editing aid for bloggers, students and writers who want to catch accidental repetition before publishing.
Important note: this is a basic on-page check — it analyzes only the text you paste and does not search the web. For web-wide plagiarism detection, use a dedicated plagiarism service.
How to Use It
- Duplicate check: paste your article and click Check for Duplicates — repeated sentences are listed.
- Compare two texts: paste Text A and Text B, then click Compare Similarity for a percentage overlap score.
Understanding the Similarity Score
- 0–30% (low overlap): texts are substantially different.
- 30–70% (moderate): notable shared phrasing — review highlighted areas.
- 70%+ (high): heavy overlap — rewrite before publishing.
